Maryland Charity Campaign

We are excited to announce that the Baltimore (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. through its philanthropic arm, The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Metropolitan Baltimore (KAPFMB), will be participating in the 2020-21 Maryland Charity Campaign (MCC). The MCC is the State’s charitable giving program used by Maryland State Employees and Retirees. Through the MCC, state employees and retirees have the ability to support nearly 1,000 worthwhile charities that deliver vital services across Maryland and beyond.  The KAPFMB is one organization delivering such vital services.

It is our goal this year to raise $25,000 through the MCC in order to enable the KAPFMB to continue its mission of strengthening Baltimore by mentoring at risk youth and serving in the community.

We are asking all brothers that are Maryland State employees or retirees to work with us to garner support for donations to the Foundation by designating your donation to the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Metropolitan Baltimore (MCC# 521944540) and sharing with your friends and on social media.

We are also encouraging Brothers who are not State employees to inform State employees they know about this easy opportunity to contribute to a great cause important to you.

Through the MCC, a pledge of just $1 (the cost of a soda!) per paycheck ($26 total!) will help us support the young men of the Benchmark Kappa League and provide a warm holiday meal for those in need.

If you work for the State or have any questions about the program, please contact Brother Kagame Li-A-Ping at kagame.liaping@gmail.com.
