Baltimore Alumni Chapter (BAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Polemarch Kirk A. Hemphill and twelve members launched the “Frank Summers Running Club” at the 2014 Zero Prostate Challenge Run/Walk Baltimore on September 14, 2014.  According to BAC Health Awareness Chair, Gary Scott, this is the fifth year that BAC members have supported Chesapeake Urology at the premier men’s health event series in America.  This event is also held in more than three-dozen cities across the nation in 2014 and brings together athletes, doctors, cancer survivors and those who care about them to end prostate cancer.  “The BAC is embracing the Healthy Kappas/Healthy Communities national initiative by engaging members to prioritize their health through a variety of forums including monthly health awareness presentations at chapter meeting, the Frank Summers Running Club, partnering with fellow NPHC-MB members to host HIV/Aids screenings, and promoting healthy competition at chapter softball games,” stated Polemarch Kirk A. Hemphill.
